Nothing can quite satisfy the craving for a yeast doughnut—-except a yeast doughnut. Problem is, when you have food allergies, running to Shipley’s down the street just isn’t an option. Although some companies DO make yeast gluten-free doughnuts, they all contain eggs or the dreaded common gluten-free food additive—tapioca—-which makes me even sicker than wheat.
Each year, I like to start the new year off by asking God to reveal to me from the Bible a special word of truth, or “rhema” as it is called in Greek, for the following twelve months.

You never know what—or WHO—God might use to show you His love in the midst of a difficult time. And when He does show Himself strong on your behalf, often all you can do is stand back in awe.
I can hardly believe that it is this time of year again! I look forward to the end of December & beginning of January when I can take a few minutes to pause and reflect on the past 12 months. Needless to say, last year was quite memorable, challenging, and very interesting!
Recently, I have been reading through The Life and Diary of David Brainerd, compiled by the great preacher Jonathan Edwards. The book is a challenging yet extremely rewarding read. I have been blessed . . . and I have been convicted. I have no notion of longing for Christ as deeply as Brainerd, but please
