1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
Living for seven days without electricity comes to mind first.
2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn’t make any resolutions in 2008, so I guess I came out alright! But yes, I did make a few for 2009.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, several friends went to Heaven before me in 2008.
5. What countries did you visit?

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A deeper relationship with Christ, more time with my family and friends, and more completed college classes.
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory?
Way too many to list. 2008 will forever be etched in my mind for good and bad, happy and sad moments.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
For the first time in several years, I took advantage of the summer to participate in a few local ministry opportunities. Helping lead a couple of kids to Christ made my year.
Also, I worked on interviews and projects with some of the biggest names in professional tennis as part of On the Baseline.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not getting more school finished.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
A few odds and ends, but overall, I wasn’t too terribly sick during 2008. Learning to live with food allergies continues to be a challenge, but definitely livable.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A Blackberry. Although, that pales in comparison to my dad’s purchase of a generator before Hurricane Ike.
12. Where did most of your money go?
New tech toys and On the Baseline’s bills.
13. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Watching God work in the lives of family and friends.

15. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier/sadder,thinner/heavier,richer/poorer?
Happier, thinner, and probably just as broke.
16. What do you wish you’d done more of?
I wish I had spent more quality time with my family and friends. And more importantly, I wish that I had spent more time getting to know my Savior.
17. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Procrastinating when it came to the school books.
18. How did you spend Christmas?
With lots of family and friends at home!

I have no clue! I probably spent more time writing emails and on instant messenger than on my phone.

Nothing big like a vacation to Disney World, but I did enjoy a few getaways to San Antonio, Brenham and New Orleans.

BBC’s Robin Hood

What a question! Fortunately, the answer is no.

Hands down, The Pursuit of God

Electricity after Hurricane Ike
25. What did you want and not get?
A million dollars, an all-expense paid trip to Spain and the joy of eating an ice cream cone without getting sick.
26. What were your favorite films of this year?
Nothing really comes to mind off the top of my head. I loved Cranford, plus I thought The Water Horse was really cute.
27. What did you do on your birthday?
Shopped, ate dinner and played games with my family.
28. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Hoodies! Plus, I rediscovered my love for Eddie Bauer.
29. What kept you sane?
Lots of prayer

I really was impressed by Sarah Palin.
31. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
That trusting God starts with a choice. I continue to choose to trust in the hard times, as well as the easy.
