Measuring Up To A Standard

Most of you have been on rides at amusements parks, such as roller coasters, twist-n-turns, and sudden drops. As you waited in line, you might have noticed that there was a measurement chart, a test to make sure that you or the person with you measured up to the height requirements.
The park has rules for how tall you must be to ride particular rides, and if you don’t measure up, you can’t get on the ride.
God has a measuring standard as well, and if you don’t measure up, you’ll find yourself with a one-way ticket to hell. I know this sounds harsh, but as Jonathan Edwards said, we are all sinners in the hands of an angry God.
Fortunately for man, God has a way to help us reach His standard. We’re not let in on our own, or in the case of amusement parks—forced to grow another couple of inches over time—but God has a plan, a way to make the grade.
Romans 3:23-24 explains how each of us can make the cut in God’s selection process.
“Everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standard, and all need to be made right with God by his grace, which is a free gift. They need to be made free from sin through Jesus Christ.”
Are you prepared to get in line for the final ride of your life? You don’t want to reach the judgment seat of Christ, only to find out that you are short of God’s standards.
Accept God’s free gift of grace, mercy, and forgiveness by asking Him to forgive you and come into your heart today.
